Terms & conditions
The terms you agree to when you join Legends Gym, book a course, or train as a guest. Operated by JCMT PTY LTD.
Draft structure — needs legal review
Legends Gym has no published terms document today, so there is no existing wording to carry over. The clause headings below are the structure an Australian gym membership agreement typically needs, and the facts quoted — pricing, the $50 setup fee, 30-day cancellation, Gym Master billing — are taken from the live site. The clauses themselves must be drafted or reviewed by a qualified lawyer before this page is published.
01
Membership agreement
Membership is personal to you and cannot be transferred. By joining you agree to these terms, the gym rules displayed on site, and any conditions specific to your membership type.
02
Fees, billing and direct debit
Memberships are billed weekly by direct debit through Gym Master. A one-off $50 setup fee applies unless waived under a current promotion. Silver is $23 per week and Platinum is $59 per week; prepaid 3, 6 and 12 month terms are quoted in-gym.
03
Cancellation and suspension
Platinum and Silver memberships run on 30 days' notice with no minimum term. Suspension terms, and how notice must be given, should be set out here.
04
Access, hours and conduct
Covers access to the gym floor, classes and equipment, plus the standards of behaviour expected — the respect, discipline and teamwork the gym is built on, stated in enforceable terms.
05
Health, fitness and assumption of risk
Combat sports carry inherent risk. This clause should cover your declaration of fitness to train, disclosure of medical conditions, and your acknowledgement of the risks of contact training and sparring.
06
Personal training and courses
Booking, rescheduling and cancellation terms for one-to-one sessions and for closed-group courses such as the six-week Learn to Box block.
07
Third-party memberships
How Fitness Passport and ClassPass access works, including that class upgrades are arranged in-gym and require an active passport.
08
Media and photography
Photos and video are taken at the gym and at events. This clause should set out consent, how images are used, and how to withdraw consent.
09
Liability and insurance
Limitation of liability, personal property, and the operation of the Australian Consumer Law guarantees that cannot be excluded.
10
Changes to these terms
How and when terms may be updated, and how members will be notified.
